Assalaamu alaikum. This was a fabulous interview, MashaAllah. I wish the interviewer had more time to ask you more questions. Jazak Allahu khairan.

First time for me to listen to Tariq Ramadan talking. very selective in his words which shows how much reading and knowledge he holds, i picked a couple of interesting thoughts from this interview

1- The idea of an intersecting space of thoughts
2- Free thinking leads you to A route to truth eventually
3- when he described the human rights bus incident he took it from a very new perspective

i would like to know more of his opinion on Neitsche any references ?

    Assalâm ’alaïkoum wa rahmatoullah,

It is an interesting conversion, not surprising when one follows the throught of Tariq Ramadan. Most of thing he says is not new but present in his different books and lectures.
His thought can be related to different concepts such as "hybridation" concerning his conception of "identity", the "de-centration" which refers to the recognition of the existence of different ways (not only the occidental one) leading to universal principals.
One thing interested in his speech concerns the necessity to discuss our common values as human being regardless one cultural, religious, social, racial, gender or political ...background. Once, I see in this suggestion a philosophical statement far from the pragmatic proposal.
