    I totally agree with the point about the proportion of people dying due to terrorism is so small compared to other causes of death. But the comparison to hospital acquired infections is perhaps a problematic one becuase millions of pounds (or dollars here in Australia) is put into the prevention of Nosocomial infections.

    Anyone who works in Health Care, especially in Hospitals, would tell you that management is, and rightfully so, over obsessive, and excessively stress the importance of prophylactic meassures, about cleaning and preventing hospital acquired infections.

    I would be careful about using this as a comparison because it has the potential to be used against your argument, not to mention the conclusion some will make, comparing bacteria to muslims.
